About
Bellini & May is a musical, multimedia journey into the mysterious and synchronistic world of a young woman whose imagination leads her down a path, from creative day-dream escapism into the depth of her psychic unconscious where she must meet her deepest fears. The magical realism meets cinema verite inspired narrative is set in the underground art scene of Silverlake, Los Angeles, and in the Burning Man-inspired festival scene in the Mojave Desert of California. It is a joyful, poignant, and sometimes heart-wrenching story about the power of dreams and creativity in personal transformation.
Bellini & May is currently in production phase and features the combined work of emerging talents, Lilamayi Huber (writer, director) and Kyle Doohan (cinematographer).
The project is being supported by a grant from the Arts Council of Santa Cruz.
